The most common ficus tree is the Ficus Tree, also commonly known as the weeping fig. One of the most popular houseplants in existence is the ficus benjamina and there are more cultivars or varietal types of benjamina also grown.

You'll find a Ficus tree in many sizes and shapes. Here are just a few examples. There are variegated varieties like 'Jacqueline', miniatures such as 'TooLittle', tree shaped, bushes, dark green varieties - 'Midnight' - light green, wavy or pendulous leaves. Most are sold in small pots for home and office, but you can also find 30 foot specimens for shopping malls or airport concourses.

All of these Ficus trees and have an elegant form with glossy leaves and slender branches that fall gracefully around a light grey smooth trunk. Ficus trees are relatively easy to maintain with some diffused light indoors and proper feeding and watering.
